This specific model is said to last much longer (4+ years), so it will last without battery change for many, many years. Also, it gives more accurate measurements than the other models. I believe that is the case. This specific one is very close to the Sonoff zigbee USB hub that I have installed on my PC, but other models, theoretically inferior, work just fine even 15m away and with multiple wall interference. I imagine the same will apply to this one. Overall, I have developed a strong preference for the zigbee communication protocol for low-power sensors compared to WiFi.
