An awesome horror game, without unnecessary shooting and action. The protagonist, Amanda Ripley (daughter of beloved Ellen Ripley), and the Alien are the main ingredients that keep the interest and terror constant until the end.

The Alien hunts the player very cleverly, learns its patterns, and generally ensures constant terror and appearing out of nowhere. Especially on higher difficulties, it requires strong nerves to withstand the continuous chase.

There are situations that require combat, either against the space station's robots or against the Alien, but the goal is to avoid them. Amanda cannot harm the Alien, only scare it and repel it. The robots are also resilient (requiring a lot of ammunition to be destroyed), and often gather in groups of 2-3, making it almost impossible to defend oneself. Overall, it remains very faithful to the original idea of the invincible Alien, where frontal attacks are futile.

On the other hand, a negative aspect that I don't often mention is the long duration. It took me about 20 hours for the first playthrough, and I felt tired towards the end. If it were 3-4 hours shorter, I think it would have ended at the ideal point to avoid fatigue. Technically flawless, excellent sound, impeccable production from every aspect. Hopefully, we will see a sequel.

This review is about a variation of the product

One of the best horror experiences one can find. The player takes on the role of Amanda Ripley, who is searching for her mother, Ellen, on a spaceship. Among other things, there is also a highly intelligent threat lurking, with its own distinct A.I. If it detects you (which it can do easily), it's better to reload and try again. The graphics are exceptional (especially for the time it was released) and still hold up well today, particularly when combined with the sound effects, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the first Alien movie. Additionally, the fact that the protagonist is not a soldier but an engineer means that you will have to rely on improvised mechanisms to progress "safely," as safety is an unknown word in this game. Its duration is around 20 hours (long for a horror game), but the truth is that after the halfway point, there are some repetitive objectives that can be a bit tiresome. For horror enthusiasts, especially fans of the series, it is a very good choice. In fact, for better results, get a good pair of headphones and turn off the lights. Also, make sure the path to the bathroom is clear ;)
