The Spanish Marjoram or Mastic thyme is a small, evergreen shrub of the Lamiaceae family, scientifically named Thymus Mastichina. It features small, oval leaves and white flowers with a distinctive aroma reminiscent of eucalyptus.

The essential oil is distilled from the dried and flowering tips of the plant and has a yellow color with an herbal, spicy, warm scent. The main molecules of its chemotypic composition are 1,8-cineole and linalool, substances with significant therapeutic properties.
