The "Porcelain Dolls" is a story that begins at the end and goes to the beginning. This way, it was created in the author's mind.
The story takes place in Russia and in a small part of it on the Trans-Siberian train, where three people meet at a pivotal moment in their lives. Three people who are leaving something behind, and fate or timing brings them together.
However, the central issue of this story concerns the dualities and the complexity of human nature. The world consists of dualities. Thus, within us, there is white and black, pieces of these so that we are grey; not all of us, but some of us.
Therefore, from the three characters, the internal conflict, love, loss, and the influence of social norms within us are explored.
Persephone is the central heroine, a contradictory heroine whose aim is not to be understood by others as an existence but to be loved; that's what we all want. Persephone, who like in mythology lives six months on earth and six in the Underworld, is a symbolic figure that one could say carries the incompatible and conflicting elements of many or even a few people.
