The era of the playground has, unfortunately, passed. The time of carefree and endless play, where all children ran, climbed, jumped, balanced, played various games, and not just football, belongs to the past.
Today we live in the age of information, in the era of smartphones, computers, and artificial intelligence, where we have everything and find everything from our couch. Generation A is unlike the generations of the 80s, 90s, or even younger ones. Or is it not? Is this generation not made up of children? Do they not need to play, climb, run, jump, balance, etc.? They do. And we, as "adults," must satisfy that need of theirs. Parents, teachers, coaches must ensure conditions that will help develop their personalities. Because play is a very serious factor in shaping a child's personality.
But how? The answer to how the reader will find in the pages of this book. A book that presents, with scientific as well as practical data, a multitude of directions and guidelines on how we can bring the playground mentality to today's era of artificial intelligence.
Incredible? Perhaps. Impossible? No. Parents, teachers, coaches (as well as anyone directly or indirectly involved in youth football) will find information and practical applications on how to develop a multifaceted, stable, and constructive foundation on which young footballer-athletes can build their technical and tactical behavior to reach the TOP.
And this foundation is none other than physical condition and neuromuscular coordination. Concepts that are so important yet simultaneously so neglected in developmental training. Without these abilities, no technique and no tactical behavior can be developed. These abilities are established and developed in early ages, while in older ones, they are simply improved.
Good technique requires good balance, rhythm, different application of strength, coordination, explosiveness. Good tactics require orientation, reaction, speed, strength, endurance, continuous decision-making. Therefore, it is necessary to build our children's dreams upon strong foundations. But above all, it is our DUTY to build our children's health and character on strong grounds.
