Meet the Lakefront Billionaires

Get ready for another addictive romance from international bestselling author and TikTok sensation, Lauren Asher.

Julian: If I ever caught on fire, Dahlia Muñoz would fan the flames with a smile. So, when she returns to Lake Wisteria, I fully intend to avoid the interior designer. At least until my meddling mother exploits my saviour complex. The faster I help Dahlia find her creative spark, the sooner she will leave town. But while I was busy getting rid of Dahlia, I overlooked one potential issue. What happens if I want her to stay?

Dahlia: People say the devil has many faces, but I know only one. Julian Lopez - my childhood rival and family frenemy. I vow to steer clear of him while recovering from my broken engagement, but then the billionaire makes an irresistible offer. Renovate a historic house together and triple our profits. Our temporary truce becomes compromised as we face years' worth of denied attraction and mixed emotions. Giving into our desire is inevitable . . . but falling in love? That isn’t part of the plan.

Lauren Asher is an expert at giving readers everything they could ever want in a romance book. It’s impossible to avoid becoming addicted to the world she builds.

  • Paper quality
  • Was it easy to read?
  • I would read a book by the same author
  • I would recommend it for reading
  • Was it interesting enough?
  • I liked the writing style
  • •Type: contemporary romance
•Tropes: small-town love, second chance, one bed, enemies to lovers, billionaire
    •Pages: 519
    •Series: Lakefront Billionaires #1
    •Spice: 3/5

    Favorite phrase
“When did we go from wanting to kill each other to wanting to kill for each other?”

Who has been missing from Wisteria Lake for years and now has to return?
    Daliaaaaaaa!
Who stayed at Wisteria Lake and is now a successful billionaire?
    Julianaaaaaaaan!

Old acquaintances and sworn enemies, Dalia and Julian get entangled in a renovation they must complete, each with their own personal gain. Succumbing to their unresolved feelings?
    Expected!
    But falling in love?
That was never part of the plan….

A pleasant romantic story that flows quickly and easily without much fuss. Of course, the spice and funny scenes are not missing, while there are also references to mental health issues that the author approaches in a very beautiful and balanced way.

I won't hide that the protagonist, Dalia, was not one of my favorite characters in this type of book, unlike Julian, with whom I had a great time and laughed.

I recommend it to those who want to clear their minds and relax. Suitable for reading before bed or for a break after a more "heavy" book.

️‍? Trope: rivals to lovers, miscommunication, small town, forced proximity, mental health issues, billionaire

"It seems I prefer to build a house with you rather than thousands of houses alone."

A book I was eagerly waiting to be translated as I loved the Dreamland Billionaires series and I adore small-town romances!

Dahlia, an interior designer and public figure, has just come out of a toxic and difficult relationship while losing herself along the way and suffering from depression. She decides to return to Wisteria Lake and her family to cope. There, she is awaited by Julian, a billionaire now and her sworn childhood rival. At some point in college, the two found themselves in a complicated situation, and due to an event, Julian was forced to return to the lake, leaving her to struggle with her sorrow. But now everything seems to have changed. A renovation of a historic house that they will need to collaborate on will turn everything upside down. And while Dahlia struggles with her darkness, Julian wants to make everything right!

Touching, sweet, with Lauren Asher's wonderful writing that guarantees a happy ending, I truly enjoyed it. I particularly liked the reference to the mental health issues of the protagonists and the depth of their characters while I loved the way they stood on their own feet and chose to be together! Combined with the small town and their Mexican families that I adored and laughed at, I truly see the author's growth! Also, the spice was very well written. Julian is the ultimate book boyfriend! I highly recommend it! ?
