The Power Electronics 555071 level controller monitors the level of conductive liquids in tanks and boreholes by measuring the resistance between three suspended electrodes. The relay activates when the liquid reaches the upper electrode and deactivates when the level falls below the middle electrode. The lower electrode serves as a reference and, in a metal tank, can be replaced by the ground connection. The low AC voltage between the electrodes prevents electrolysis.
