The Hoya Circular PL filter is a circular polarizing filter for camera lenses with HRT (High Transparency) coating. The specially designed HRT film allows up to 25% more light to pass through the polarizing film while maintaining the same level of polarization, providing approximately 1/3 stop more light than a standard circular polarizing filter. Its glass also absorbs ultraviolet radiation.
Rotating the outer ring changes the filter’s effect. It can darken a deep blue sky and reduce or eliminate reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as glass and water.
