This guide describes 50 hiking trails in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, in northwestern Mallorca. Exploring the rugged limestone peaks of the island, many of the routes include steep terrain, challenging navigation, and require a handful of climbs, making them mainly suitable for those with some mountaineering experience.
The trails range from 4 to 24 kilometers and can be enjoyed in 2 to 8 hours. They are geographically divided into seven sectors and are easily accessible from mountain towns and villages such as Andratx, Sóller, and Pollença.
The guide includes 1:25,000 maps from Editorial Alpina for each route, as well as GPX files available for download. Most routes are accessible by public transportation (details provided) and are easily reachable from Palma. Notable points include the island of sa Dragonera and the Torrent de Pareis gorge.
