Pul Biber (or Aleppo pepper or paprika or spicy delight) is a variety of pepper used as a spice particularly in Eastern Mediterranean cuisine.

The pepper ripens and then, after removing its seeds, is ground. In its most common form, the pepper is in small flakes, milder in taste and oilier than regular hot pepper, slightly salty with a sweet, fruity flavor tone.

Pul Biber contains no seeds and in cooking can replace red pepper flakes and paprika.
