  • I haven't tried this specific product yet, however I have experience with similar products and I intend to use it soon. In the past, I also had a problem with hairballs with my cat. At first he refused to eat it, while trying to give it to him in paste form turned out to be a time-consuming process. In the end, I found two effective solutions: I placed a small amount on the top of his paw so he would consume it by licking it. I served it in his bowl, forming small peaks as if with a piping bag, so that it would look like pieces of food. Both methods work excellently!

After repeated gastritis episodes, with the last one being very dangerous for our cat, the vet recommended the paste preventively once a week, since we discovered that the intestines were getting blocked by hair. It has been a lifesaver for our long-haired cat, who eats it directly from the tube. Our second, short-haired one doesn’t eat it as easily, but that’s okay; we put it in a little pâté and it gets the job done. Since we started using it, there have been no hairballs, no vomiting, no gastritis, and no intestinal blockage. Therefore, regardless of the taste, since there is a solution for that, as for its effectiveness it gets 10/10

My cat vomited for 3 consecutive days and the vet suspected it might be due to hairballs, so she suggested I get a hairball paste (of course, this was my case, vomiting can be due to many causes and proper diagnosis is needed). I randomly bought this particular paste and after giving the recommended dose, there was improvement already the next day! As for the taste, my cat, who is quite picky, ate it happily only the first time. The second time she ate it with a bit more effort and after that she was completely indifferent and didn't want it. So I mixed it with something else she enjoys eating. Nevertheless, 5 stars because I believe its main job is not to be a delicious treat, but to serve its purpose and in our case, it worked.
