What is 925 Sterling Silver?
Silver is a heavy, rare, soft metal with a distinctive metallic sheen.
The silver content of a piece of jewelry is usually measured in “fineness,” denoted by °. For example, 925° silver means 92.5 percent (925 parts) pure silver and 7.5 percent (75 parts) metal alloy.
Why don’t we use 100% silver in jewelry?
