Epimedium (Epimedium brevicornum) has been used as a tonic, aphrodisiac, and anti-rheumatic supplement in Asia for over 2,000 years.

It may effectively act against:

• erectile dysfunction
• osteoporosis
• cardiovascular diseases
• asthma
• chronic nephritis
• menstrual disorders

Preparation method for herbal tea (1 cup):

• 1 teaspoon (~5 g) of dried epimedium
• add water (~150-160ml) that has just boiled, with a temperature of ~80-90°C, for ~10'
• strain and serve, possibly with some honey, milk, lemon, etc.

Usage:

You can drink up to 3 cups a day and for up to 3 weeks. After that, you should stop using it for 1 week and you can repeat from the following month.

Possible side effects:

• increased heart rate
• excessive energy
• sweating

Should not be used by individuals:

• who are taking antihypertensive medications
• who are on anticoagulant medications
• who suffer from any cardiovascular condition
• with hormone-sensitive cancers, such as breast or ovarian cancer
