It cooks potatoes without oil, but they don't taste like fried ones (they look perfect). The quantity and time play a role. They will either be undercooked or hollow inside. I say hollow because if you leave them too long in the heat, the potato's skin cooks while the inside dehydrates and remains empty. Out of the 10 times I tried, I only got 1 batch that turned out like fried. Maybe I'm not doing something right.
All this is under the condition that I cut the potatoes evenly with a machine. Before you start cooking them, you should soak them in water for half an hour. Now, like with all foods, once they're done, they start to cool down because it doesn't retain heat AT ALL.
Another thing to watch out for is where you place it in the kitchen because if you have low cabinets, you won't be able to open it. It opens in the middle like a toaster.
It's not more economical than an A++ oven.
The casing is plastic and has no insulation (like all small ovens).
It's lightweight and easy to move.
You can cook for two people, or at most three.
It cooks steaks and chicken well. About 45 minutes. Halfway through, you need to flip them.
What I really liked is that it heats up immediately like a microwave. In 3-4 minutes, it reaches 200 degrees. Creta Farms meatballs from the freezer cook directly in 10 minutes. The reheated food is not like in microwaves where you might find undercooked or cold spots inside.
It cooks chicken roll and pork on a spit very well. With the timer, you set it and eat in about 45 minutes without doing anything else.
