Hello from me too, fraghead for the past two years and after trying about 40 fragrances, I think I found the ideal signature scent, a truly iconic fragrance. Amazing scent, niche quality, evident from the radiance it leaves when you spray it on your body. Now, as for how it smells, don't fall into the trap of the "Aventus Clone," this one doesn't smell like Aventus at all, and those who claim it's a clone have never smelled Aventus and are just parroting what they hear and see on Fragrantica and YouTube, respectively. So, let's get to it, it's an amazing fragrance, although the marketing presents it as unisex, it's very masculine due to the woods and leather, while also having a hint of vanilla that makes it "playful." In the opening, it may seem synthetic to some, a suffocating lemoniness, just as I initially felt, but after spraying it a few times and letting it "settle" in the bottle without the cap (a trick I saw on Basenotes and it really works), it stabilizes into the wonderful scent that everyone loves. The citrusy opening is still there, but now it's more "clean" and doesn't last long before it nicely settles into a sweeter, fresh, and woody scent.
Personally, I really appreciate the notes of cedar and leather, especially in the drydown, and I have fallen in love with it. Amazing fragrance, it will definitely bring compliments. One positive aspect is that not many people know about it and therefore not many wear it, so you will stand out from the crowd when you wear it. Now, as for longevity and projection, I have a 2020 batch and I haven't had any issues with the duration and projection, but I have never had such problems as I buy fragrances to wear them, not to pity them. If someone expects a fragrance to last 15 hours and project with just 1-2 sprays, they are mistaken. 1-2 sprays are not enough, just like 8-10 sprays are not enough. I know many will hate me for saying this, but it's the truth. If you want someone on the street, in a café, at your drink, in your company, etc., to smell you, you will have to spray yourself several times. There's no such thing as "very short duration," on the contrary, there's the term "Sissyspraying." Take a look at CurlyFragrance on YouTube and you'll understand what the term means. I used to spray 1-2 sprays on my neck and no one could smell me, now I spray over 10 when I'm going out, and if I want to be smelled, I'll go for 15+. If I'm paying 120 euros for a cologne, you can be sure that you will smell me, whether you like it or not, even if the cologne doesn't last, I will make it last just fine with overspraying until I faint.
Edit: 29/09/2021 - So, I'm making this edit because I'm tired of hearing about "Aventus-ish colognes & clones." I got a sample from a 2017 batch from a friend who owns Aventus, and today I decided to do a little test again to see if my nose had a problem before because it's not possible for everyone to see Cedrat Boise as a clone and me not. I sprayed 2 sprays of Cedrat Boise on my right hand and 2 sprays of Aventus on my left. Opening, absolutely no resemblance again, Boise starts very lemony with a hint of grapefruit and a trace of cedar, while Aventus smells overwhelmingly like pineapple and a bit woody, absolutely no similarity in the opening. After two hours, Cedrat Boise smells like a beautiful blend of cedar, fruits, and a hint of vanilla, while Aventus smells fresh, masculine, and slightly woody. 8 hours later, which means right now as I'm writing, Aventus has completely disappeared from my hand while, on the contrary, Cedrat Boise still smells like a wonderful blend of vanilla, cedar, and leather, masculine and very pleasant. So, to avoid falling into traps set by random people who label all fragrances as clones, buy samples and test them on your own. Cedrat Boise > Aventus all day, every day, no comparison between them except for the fact that both have fruity vibes. I had someone at work who called Guerlain's L'Homme Ideal EDP a clone of Joop! so you expect everything in this community.
Καλησπέρα και από εμένα, fraghead τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια και εγώ και μετά από περίπου 40 αρώματα, νομίζω βρήκα το ιδανικό signature scent που λένε, ένα άρωμα σήμα κατατεθέν. Φοβερό άρωμα, niche ποιότητα, φαίνεται από τη γυαλάδα που αφήνει όταν το ρίχνεις στο σώμα σου. Τώρα στο πως μυρίζει, μη πέφτετε στη παγίδα του "Aventus Clone", το συγκεκριμένο δε μυρίζει καθόλου σαν το Aventus και όσοι λένε πως είναι κλώνος, δεν έχουν μυρίσει ποτέ το Aventus και απλά κάνουν παπαγαλία ότι ακούνε και βλέπουν σε fragrantica και youtube αντίστοιχα. Λοιπόν, έχουμε και λέμε, φοβερό άρωμα, αν και το μαρκετινγκ το πλασάρει ως unisex, είναι αρρενωπότατο λόγω ξύλων και δέρματος ενώ έχει αυτό το λίγο βανίλιας που το κάνει "παιχνιδιάρικο". Στο άνοιγμα σε πολλούς ίσως φανεί συνθετικό, μια αποπνικτική λεμονίλα, όπως ακριβώς το ένιωσα εγώ αρχικά αλλά αφότου το ψέκασα κάποιες φορές και το άφησα να "καθίσει" για λίγο στο μπουκάλι του χωρίς το καπάκι (trick που είδα στο basenotes και πραγματικά ισχύει), σταθεροποιήθηκε στο υπέροχο άρωμα που όλοι και όλες αγαπάνε. Το κιτρώδες άνοιγμα είναι ακόμη εκεί αλλά πιο "καθαρό" πλέον και δε κρατάει για πολύ ώρα μέχρι να σταθεροποιηθεί όμορφα σε ένα πιο γλυκό, φρέσκο και ταυτόχρονα ξυλώδες άρωμα.
Εγώ προσωπικά ξεχωρίζω πάρα πολύ τις νότες του Κέδρου και του Δέρματος, ειδικά στο drydown και το έχω λατρέψει. Φοβερό άρωμα, θα φέρει σίγουρα κοπλιμέντα, στα θετικά το ότι δε το γνωρίζουν αρκετοί και επομένως δε το φοράνε αρκετοί άρα θα ξεχωρίζεις από το πλήθος όταν το φοράς. Τώρα όσο έχει να κάνει με longevity-projection, εγώ έχω 2020 παρτίδα και δεν είχα προβλήματα με τη διάρκεια και το projection, αλλά εγώ ανέκαθεν δεν είχα τέτοια προβλήματα καθώς τα αρώματα τα παίρνω για να τα φορέσω, όχι για να τα λυπάμαι. Αν περιμένει κάποιος με 1-2 "φσουτ" να κρατήσει ένα άρωμα 15 ώρες και να projectαρει, είναι γελασμένος. Δεν είναι αρκετά 1-2 sprays όπως δεν είναι αρκετά ούτε 8-10 sprays. Ξέρω αρκετοί θα με μισήσουν που το λέω αλλά είναι η αλήθεια, αν θέλεις να σε μυρίσει ο άλλος/η στον δρόμο, στη καφετέρια, στο ποτό σου, στη παρέα και τα λοιπά, θα πρέπει να ψεκαστείς αρκετές φορές, δεν υπάρχει η φράση "πολύ μικρή διάρκεια", αντιθέτως, υπάρχει ο όρος "Sissyspraying". Δείτε λίγο CurlyFragrance στο youtube και θα καταλάβετε τι πάει να πει ο όρος. Και εγώ κάποτε έριχνα 1-2 sprays στον λαιμό μου και δε με μύριζε κανείς, πλέον πάνω από 10 όταν πρόκειται να βγω και αν θέλω να με μυρίσουν με το έτσι θέλω θα ρίξω 15+. Αν δώσω 120 ευρώ για κολόνια, να είσαι σίγουρος πως θα με μυρίσεις θέλεις δε θέλεις αδερφέ, ακόμη και να μη κρατάει η κολόνια, θα τη κάνω εγώ να κρατήσει μια χαρά με overspraying μέχρι λιποθυμίας.
Edit: 29/09/2021 - Λοιπόν, κάνω αυτό το edit γιατί έχω βαρεθεί να ακούω για "aventus-ish colognes & clones". Πήρα δείγμα παρτίδας 2017 από γνωστό μου που έχει το Aventus, σήμερα αποφάσισα να κάνω ένα τεστάκι ξανά μήπως η μύτη μου είχε πρόβλημα παλαιότερα γιατί δεν γίνεται όλοι να βλέπετε το Cedrat Boise ως κλώνο και εγώ όχι, έριξα 2 spray στο δεξί χέρι Cedrat Boise & 2 spray Aventus στο αριστερό. Άνοιγμα, καμία μα καμία σχέση ξανά, το Boise ξεκινάει πάρα πολύ λεμονάτο με λίγο φραγκοστάφυλο και ένα ίχνος κέδρου, το Aventus μυρίζει αφόρητα ανανά και λίγο ξυλώδεις απευθείας, καμία σχέση στο άνοιγμα απολύτως. Έπειτα από δυο ώρες το Cedrat boise μυρίζει ένα όμορφο μείγμα κέδρου, φρούτων και λίγης βανίλιας ενώ το Aventus μυρίζει φρέσκο αρρενωπό και λίγο ξυλώδεις. 8 ώρες μετά δηλαδή αυτή τη στιγμή που γράφω, το Aventus έχει εξαφανιστεί τελείως από το χέρι μου ενώ αντιθέτως το Cedrat Boise μυρίζει ακόμη ένα υπέροχο μειγματάκι βανίλιας-κέδρου και δέρματος, αντρικό και πολύ ευχάριστο. Για να μην πέφτετε σε παγίδες λοιπόν από τυχάρπαστους που όλα τα αρώματα τα βαφτίζουν κλώνους, αγοράστε δείγματα και κάντε δοκιμές μόνοι σας. Cedrat Boise > Aventus όλη την ημέρα, κάθε μέρα, καμία σχέση μεταξύ τους εκτός από το ότι και τα δυο έχουν μέσα φρουτώδες vibes. Είχα άτομο στη δουλειά που μου βάφτισε το L'Homme Ideal EDP του Guerlain κλώνο του Joop! οπότε όλα τα περιμένεις σε αυτή τη κοινότητα.
