AQUAEL BioCeraMax 600 ceramic media for biological filtration. BioCeraMax consists of cylinders made from a finely porous material with a unique structure. It provides an ideal surface for the nitrifying bacteria Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter, which are responsible for the biological filtration of aquarium water.

AQUAEL BioCeraMax provides crystal-clear water free of ammonia and nitrites. It is also ideal for pre-filtration and helps prevent the subsequent filter media in an external filter from becoming clogged too quickly. To maintain optimal filtration performance, it is recommended to rinse the filter media only in aquarium water and replace some of the media at least once every 6–12 months.
