At the 2nd Conference of the Scientific Society for the Study of Veria Velestino Rigas, held in Velestino from October 2 to 4, 1992, I presented the topic "Rigas in the footsteps of Alexander the Great."

The current publication is a comprehensive treatment of this topic. It is paradoxical that the connection of Rigas, by all researchers to date, with the Balkan region tends to inappropriately reduce the dimensions of the visions of the proto-martyr. With this new reading of his work, there is an attempt to simultaneously redirect the research towards areas outside the usually defined ones.
