These wire terminals are made from a brass alloy with a galvanized tin coating and are insulated with polyvinyl chloride. They are used as non-insulated terminals, as the insulating part protects the conductors from bending and breaking at the connection point while simultaneously protecting personnel from direct contact with conductive parts. The connection is made via crimping, using mechanical pressure on the terminal and the conductor.
