Out of the hundreds of supplements one can take, fish oil is in my top 5 of the most important, perhaps second only to vitamin D.

I have tried both capsules and Moller's bottle, with the latter being my preference if I can find it at a good price and potency, I switch to capsules and other brands.

The benefits are numerous and definitely go beyond cholesterol and triglycerides, but we won't discuss them here. Many people seek "mental stimulation," clarity, and related effects in various formulations with exotic herbs, adaptogens, and vitamins. It is much more certain that they will find it in humble fish oil - DHA, one of the two omega-3 fatty acids, is a balm for our brain.

The general idea with omega-3 is that the more of our body's cellular fat content consists of omega-3 polyunsaturated fats (as opposed to, let's say, "bad" saturated fats), the more capable they are of deactivating various inflammatory processes. Of course, this process does not happen overnight - that's why the benefits build up over weeks and months.

Here we have omega-3 with a content of approximately 150mg EPA and 125mg DHA per capsule, a small-medium-common dosage for fish oils. That's why our company recommends taking 2 capsules per day. And taking four won't harm you, it's equivalent to a serving of fish, let's say, roughly as much omega-3 as 3-4 capsules. This is just to give you an idea of the quantities, but if you are taking any anticoagulant or other medication, consult your doctor.

It is a blend of fish oil and cod liver oil, so it also contains some amounts of vitamin A and D. This doesn't concern us. Vitamin D3 is very important and it's good to supplement it on its own in higher doses. The cod liver oil gives us a small amount.

Furthermore, Mollers is one of the very good brands and due to its Scandinavian origin, we have (theoretically) more assurances that it is controlled and free from heavy metals.

Capsules or bottle? I prefer the bottle for its higher DHA content it provides. There, 5ml (a teaspoon) gives us 370mg EPA and 560mg DHA, although personally, I take a tablespoon (with breaks for a few months). The bottle is good, but as soon as you open it, it starts to oxidize, and this happens every time you open it. That's why it needs to be consumed within a month, so if you plan to forget it in the fridge, leave it. With capsules, you don't have this issue.

The reason I bought this specific supplement is because I wanted, on the one hand, to get the necessary Omega-3 fatty acids and, on the other hand, to have a natural and animal source of Vitamin A without the risk of excessive intake, which can have negative consequences. I have been taking the supplement for a little over half a month and the reason I am commenting is because I really didn't expect it to have the amazing effect I saw on my skin. It may also be due to the much better sleep I have been getting lately, but my skin is refreshed and healthy after 3 weeks, more "plump," with significantly reduced fine lines. This is not at all surprising, considering that sea buckthorn oil is an excellent source of Vitamins A and E, which, when they work together, produce the maximum anti-aging results. I believe that this product belongs among the supplements that someone should buy for life, along with a collagen supplement. It doesn't have a smell when consumed, but you realize after some time that you have taken sea buckthorn oil, although it is not something very intense or bothersome.
*Update* Having finished the entire box of 150 in about 2.5 months, I observe exactly what I wrote above: My skin responded very well to the treatment and it is simply better, I don't know how else to say it. Additionally, due to the fact that since the first lockdown I walk almost daily for several kilometers (around 7-8) in combination with daily and intense exercise, my right foot often used to crack at the ankle when going down the stairs. This has now been reduced to a minimum. I REPEAT that I do not know if all these positive changes are solely due to sea buckthorn oil or also to other changes in diet or possibly to the long-term use of collagen (around 15 months).

I am sharing an experience that included a surgery because no one ever told me to take these vitamins... During the winter, I started experiencing blurry vision in my left eye, but I didn't pay much attention to it.
