The GROTECH BioPellet Reactor BPR-80 is a reactor for bio pellets designed for marine aquariums up to 400L. It can be used inside or outside the sump.

• Use 50 to a maximum of 200 ml NP-Minus BioPellets for every 100 liters of water, depending on the nutrient levels in your aquarium water.
• To prevent bacterial overgrowth, gradual addition of bio pellets is recommended at intervals of about one week.
• Start preferably with about 30% of the normally required amount.
• It is recommended that the reactor outlet is close to the skimmer inlet.
• Adding bacteria promotes faster and more effective operation of the bio pellets.
• Warning: Bio pellets should not remain unagitated for long periods of time.

The NP-Minus BioPellets consist of 100% biodegradable polymers. They dissolve over a period of several months and serve as a carbon source for aerobic bacteria and other microorganisms. The pellets act as a food source for these microorganisms. Together with the nitrates and phosphates present in the aquarium water, they create bacterial biomass.
