The GROTECH BioPellet Reactor BPR-80 internal is a reactor for bio pellets suitable for marine aquariums up to 400L, for use inside the sump.

Included: EHEIM Compact 600 pump (7 W) and 250 ml NP-Minus BioPellets.

Instructions for using Bio Pellets:

• Use 50 to a maximum of 200 ml NP-Minus BioPellets for every 100 liters of water, depending on the nutrient levels in your aquarium water.
• To avoid bacterial overgrowth (bacterial bloom), it is recommended to gradually add the bio pellets at intervals of about a week.
• Preferably start with about 30% of the normally required amount.
• It is recommended that the output of the reactor is close to the input of the skimmer.
• Adding bacteria promotes faster and more effective functioning of the bio pellets.
• Caution: Bio pellets should not remain without agitation for extended periods.

Information about Bio Pellets:

The NP-Minus BioPellets consist of 100% biodegradable polymers. They dissolve over a period of several months and serve as a carbon source for aerobic bacteria and other microorganisms. The pellets act as a food source for these microorganisms. Together with nitrates and phosphates - present in the aquarium water - they create bacterial biomass.
