The GROTECH BioPellet Reactor BPR-150 internal is a bio pellet reactor for marine aquariums up to 1,500L, ideal for use inside the sump.

Includes an EHEIM CompactON 2100 pump (38 W) and 1,000 ml of NP-Minus BioPellets.

Instructions for using Bio Pellets:

• Use 50 to at most 200 ml of NP-Minus BioPellets for every 100 liters of water, depending on the nutrient levels in your aquarium water.
• To avoid bacterial overgrowth (bacterial bloom), it is recommended to add the bio pellets gradually, at intervals of about one week.
• Start preferably with about 30% of the normally required amount.
• It is recommended that the output of the reactor is close to the inlet of the skimmer.
• The addition of bacteria promotes faster and more effective operation of the bio pellets.
• Warning: Bio pellets should not remain without agitation for long periods of time.

Information about Bio Pellets:

The NP-Minus BioPellets consist of 100% biodegradable polymers that dissolve over a period of several months and serve as a carbon source for aerobic bacteria and other microorganisms. The pellets act as a food source for these microorganisms. Together with the nitrates and phosphates present in the aquarium water, they create bacterial biomass.
