The photoelectric sensors from the Gxx series are multifunctional switches used in mechanical systems and equipment for non-contact motion detection of objects. They operate based on the photoelectric principle, as they contain a signal emitter and a receiver for the returned signal.

There are three types of sensors: diffuse sensors, retro-reflective sensors, and through-beam sensors. These types of sensors differ in how the signal is returned. They allow for distance setting.
