The BS-521 is a standalone fire detection siren that provides audible and visual signaling, while the BS-520 offers only audible signaling. It features rechargeable Ni-Cd batteries, which allow it to operate in the event of a power outage, a situation that often occurs during fires.
The sirens are connected to one or more fire detection buttons (model BS-536) in order to be activated by pressing any of the alarm buttons in case of a fire.
