The author of the book is a Civil Engineer from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a Transportation Engineer, and a PhD from the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris and a graduate of the Law School at Aristotle University. He has served as a consultant to ministries and transport organizations. He has participated in numerous international conferences and in meetings of the European Union, OECD, and the World Bank. He has conducted design studies for various Greek airports and airlines. He has been teaching since 1990 at Democritus University of Thrace, where he is a professor. He has authored 11 books and more than 200 scientific papers published in international scientific journals and conferences. He speaks English, French, Spanish, and German.
