Cross Academy hosts two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the Day Class students return to their dorms, they encounter the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the academy, protecting the Day Class from the dark secret of the Academy: the Night Class is full of vampires! Zero suspects the murder of Shizuka Hio, the pureblood vampire who killed his family. Enraged, the vampiric senate sends assassins to Cross Academy to execute him.
