The Dahua XVR5108HS-I3 recorder supports up to 8 analog cameras with resolutions up to 5 MP, recording at 5M-N at 1–10 fps or 1080P at 15 fps. It accepts audio from a camera with a microphone via coaxial cable and supports an internal hard drive of up to 16 TB.

It supports AI Coding, H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 compression, as well as connections for up to 4 additional IP cameras. AI features include SMD+ on all 8 channels, with the option to detect people or vehicles. On the first 2 channels, you can select perimeter protection with 10 IVS rules per channel, such as line crossing and intrusion, or face recognition for up to 10,000 images and 10 databases. Alternatively, perimeter protection is supported on 1 channel and SMD+ on 4 channels. These features are not supported when a network camera is added.
