This is a cable terminal made of a brass alloy with a galvanized tin coating and insulation made of polyvinyl chloride. They are used as non-insulated terminals, as the insulating part protects the conductors from bending and breakage at the connection point while simultaneously protecting personnel from direct contact with live parts. The connection is made using a crimping tool, through mechanical pressure of the terminal and the conductor.
