This phrase is attributed to Colonel (later Brigadier General) Spiros Papaspyridis, Commander of the Recruitment Center at the Gaza Base, who, in the Daily Order of October 5, 1941, welcomed the personnel of the 335 Squadron, the first Greek fighter squadron in the Middle East, to Egypt.
