It doesn't stick to anything by itself. Fortunately, the chair had a wooden seat so I nailed it and it stays stable.
Of course, on the part that had the torn leather, it doesn't come off, but I don't know if I had just put a patch if it would have stayed.
In the end, I did my job and the chairs are like new.
