A common case involves customers attempting to install them on a Crypton X, which has been converted to a carburetor but has retained the original ignition coil. This is incorrect because the ignition coil of the Crypton X has a continuous current and does not work with the Ignitech. The installation of an ignition coil, like those found in other motorcycles, is required; otherwise, the electronic unit may be damaged.
