Description

Description

In this book, the author contemplatively observes and powerfully captures what is occurring in contemporary Western culture, focusing on the emergence of "political correctness" and its gradual transformation into woke culture. He recalls the initial innocence of #MeToo and the slippage of complaints into proof; he reveals what cancel culture is, the desire to cancel culture, with practices of ruthless and total censorship in universities, in art, and in knowledge.

In the same context, he raises the issue of future generations, focusing on the wild manipulation of children and their uncritical sexualization by organizations, activists, and teachers. He carefully examines how critical issues such as racism, sexuality, human rights, Islamic terrorism, and climate change are handled by self-proclaimed "progressives" who, with the fanaticism of Crusaders, are ready to annihilate anyone who does not adopt their sacred faith.

He concludes that this fanaticism, with woke culture as its Trojan Horse, threatens to dismantle what keeps societies together, sowing confusion, paranoia, division, and polarization.

Foreword by Professor Kostas Theologou from the National Technical University of Athens and the Hellenic Open University.

In this book, the author observes thoughtfully and captures robustly what is happening in contemporary Western civilization, focusing on the emergence of "political correctness" and its gradual transformation into woke culture (culture of awakening). It recalls the initial innocence of #MeToo and the slide from accusation to proof; it reveals what this cancel culture is, the tendency to cancel culture, with practices of harsh and total censorship in universities, art, and knowledge.

In the same frame of reference, it addresses the issue of future generations by focusing on the wild manipulation of children and their uncritical sexualization by organizations, activists, and teachers. It also carefully examines how critical issues such as racism, sexuality, human rights, Islamic terrorism, and climate change are addressed by the self-proclaimed "progressives" who, with Crusader-like fanaticism, are ready to annihilate anyone who does not adopt their sacred faith. It concludes that this fanaticism, with the Trojan Horse of woke culture, threatens to dissolve what holds societies together, sowing confusion, paranoia, division, and polarization.

This book is written with a lot of hatred and tries to address a reality that is not true; reading it, one understands that Mr. Giannis carries hatred. No one gay sexualizes children, and the level of comparison falls on priests and other role models that he does not mention because they do not suit his ideology. Very nice idea the QR code.

I thought I knew enough about "Woke" culture, but reading the book made me realize how big of a threat this paranoia is starting to become. Very enjoyable book, well-written, that once you read it, you have a complete picture of the subject. I highly recommend it!

Excellent book that is not limited only to LGBTQ topics, but covers a wide range of political correctness and even deconstructs it using sources (via QR CODE). It is one of those books that you don't get bored reading and doesn't tire you out. I would place it among the best books I have read. It has so many references that it is clear the author has researched it and worked very hard on it!

It speaks truths, but the inner heart of each reader will determine the feeling it leaves them with. Hatred or compassion and inclusion of people with pathological behavior!

It presents extremely interesting elements with evidence. I really liked the references to sources with QR code.
On the negative side: sometimes the translation from English terms was poor (e.g. cancel culture -> ακύρωση της κουλτούρας). Also, there was quite a bit of repetition in various thoughts/observations and perhaps some chapters were unnecessary.
