The PELC PT429-8 starter is used in automation systems to start three-phase asynchronous motors with star-delta switching. It combines switching timing with contacts for energizing the star, delta and main relays, as well as for the START/STOP push buttons and automatic operation switch. It is mounted on an 8-pin tube-style socket, sold separately.

The delay time and intermediate transition time are adjustable. Varistor protection guards against surges and lightning, while the POWER ON and RELAY ON LED indicators allow operating status to be monitored.
