Christ will be played by Manolis, a simple shepherd, who after being chosen begins to change, striving to reach the highest spiritual and physical purity. When refugees arrive in the afternoon from another village, led by Father Fotis, fleeing from the Turks, the villagers become divided, as Father Grigoris and several others claim they bring with them a cholera epidemic.

The only ones who will help them are Michelis, Katerina, Giannakos, Kostantis, and Manolis, who will defend them by speaking about the value of love and compassion.
