Bouzoukia

Kavvadias Miltiadis Bouzouki No 5 6-String

The bouzouki has three double strings, which are tuned in tones RE-LA-RE.
It is a lute-like stringed folk musical instrument, with a pear-shaped resonator (body) made of longitudinal wooden strips, the ribs, and a long arm, the neck or fretboard with keys at the edge for tuning.
Along the neck there are thin metal frets, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the neck, which are wedged into a thin slit and are called frets. The intervals between the frets define the distance of the semitone.
