As in the previous explorations of the city, Berner wonderfully captures the colors and images of the seasons, while here she bathes the city in dazzling darkness that highlights the nighttime activities. Seven colorful and incredibly detailed pages take readers to a multigenerational house, a farm, a train station, a community center, a market, a department store, and a park with a lake. Readers will return again and again to these pages to discover everything that happens in Bustletown during the midnight hours: a burglar tries to get into the dentist's office, the bookstore offers "good night books," fireworks explode over the lake, and a sleepover party takes place in the library. As they search each page for their favorite recurring characters, they will create their own stories about everything you can do after sunset.
