This book aims to theoretically and critically reframe the way educational mechanisms impact the formation of the division of labor and social reproduction in the era of post-modernity. It is a work that, using sociological terms of analysis and interpretation, focuses on critical issues such as the function of educational systems, the relationship between education and the production process, the contribution of educational mechanisms to social hierarchies, the role of educational policy in globalization, the "mutations" and changes in the structures of qualifications and skills in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, among others.
More specifically, this study seeks to investigate and analyze the dominant educational practices, highlighting trends, challenges, and redefinitions in the "educational process," and critically approaching what is ideologically projected as the "society of skills" in a fluid and ambiguous international environment.
