This audio converter (ADC) converts an analog stereo signal into a digital audio signal (Toslink or coaxial).

If you want to hear the sound from a turntable or a CD player through your speakers, connect the audio output of your turntable to the audio input of your amplifier. The audio output of your disc player only has an analog (red-white/left-right) output, while your playback device (amplifier, soundbar, active speakers) may only have a digital (Toslink/coaxial) input. Please note that a disc player must have a built-in phono preamp (RIAA).
