Guaranteed Alarm Notifications and Visual Verifications
To ensure reliable communications, we equipped the Hub 2 with four antennas and support for two proprietary radio protocols: Jeweler and Wings. Jeweler is responsible for transmitting commands, events, and alarms, while Wings provides group image transmission. The Ajax bidirectional radio communication uses frames to synchronize device communication periods, authentication to prevent fraud, and encryption to protect against data theft.
Jeweller and Wings Protocol
The radio protocol Jeweller ensures the continuous operation of all devices within the security system. Jeweller provides two-way communication between the hub and detectors at a distance of up to 2,000 meters. Additionally, it allows for remote control of Ajax devices and communication of alarm signals in less than 0.15 seconds.
Jeweller uses time frames to synchronize communication with connected devices, authentication to eliminate forgery, and encryption to protect against data leaks. Furthermore, it is an extremely energy-efficient radio protocol that allows detectors to operate for years on pre-installed batteries.
Wings, on the other hand, is an innovative radio protocol developed for the rapid transmission of visual data over vast distances. It uses a special Hub 2 Plus antenna to improve channel reliability. The built-in packet control and reloading algorithms allow Wings to deliver photos at distances of up to 1,700 meters, even if the signal level is unstable. Thanks to Wings, CMS operators and users can see the first snapshot of a situation just 9 seconds after a motion alarm.
Protection of large installations with complex internal organization
The Hub 2 radio network covers multiple floors and separate buildings — thanks to the 2,000-meter communication range and the ability to connect five range extenders. For managing access and the security zone of the installation, the hub allows the connection of 50 users and the creation of 9 security groups. The Hub 2 is a perfect choice for home and business security.
Controlled with apps
Applications are more convenient and secure. They connect to a hub using a secure channel with Ajax Cloud - our server solution located in various AWS data centers. The applications allow users to control security, edit hub settings, configure connected devices, create scenarios, and monitor events. From a smartphone or a computer. Whether on-site or away.
Automates security
Hub 2 allows the creation of 32 scenarios and minimizes the impact of the human factor on security. The hub can arm and disarm an installation or a group based on a schedule. Immediately activate a smoke machine if someone enters the premises. Shut down the premises and activate emergency lighting in case of fire. Or shut off the water in case of a leak. Control lights, electric locks, shutters, and garage doors — with arming/disarming, button press, or detector alarm.
Tamper Resistance
Whatever happens to the Hub 2, the security company and users will be notified. No one can disconnect the hub unnoticed when the installation is disarmed. If an intruder attempts to dismantle the device, it will immediately trigger the tamper alarm. The Ajax Cloud server can notify about the loss of connection with the hub in 60 seconds due to frequent polling. Even if the building is powered off, the hub will protect the property for up to 16 hours with a built-in backup battery.
Future-proof
The Hub 2 runs on OS Malevich — a real-time operating system developed by Ajax Systems. OS Malevich is extremely stable, immune to viruses, and protected against cyberattacks. Its modular architecture simplifies the continuous upgrade of the Malevich operating system. The Hub receives new features several times a year via over-the-air updates. The update process is automatic and takes a few minutes when the security system is disarmed. The hardware configuration will allow Hub 2 to evolve and remain relevant for years to come.
Effortless Installation
The Hub 2 is ready to operate immediately upon receipt. It comes with pre-installed components, a power unit, and a backup battery. To start the system installation, you need to plug the device into a socket, connect it to the Internet, insert the SIM cards, and scan the QR code using the app. Thanks to the SmartBracket, you won't even need to disassemble the device to mount it.
Connecting security devices, video cameras, users, testing the radio signal, creating groups and scenarios, and even sending a request for connection to the CMS — all system settings are always available in the Ajax apps. Whether you are on-site or not.
