This study has no intention to criticize anyone. The author has no right to judge. God forbid!

It is an effort, with much love and concern, to document the Historical facts and the great philanthropy of the Church, so that the good-willed consciences of the brothers, who, like the author, grew up and were raised with principles largely influenced by the "letter of the Law," or better, by a semi-knowledge in the interpretation of the Canons, may find solace.

The action of the Church has the strength of the Holy Spirit, far from legalistic confines but in the spirit of the spiritual fruits of the Councils.
