Everything started in 1972, the fifth year of the seven-year period. Back then, we certainly did not know how long the dictatorship would last, seven years or more, but we had the impression that it would never end. In this gloomy atmosphere, I felt the need for something else, something different, something fresh, something new. But what could that be? Then, a thought crossed my mind. What if we did a show for children? That would definitely be something new. I had never seen a performance of that kind and I could not even imagine how it would be. I remember we were at a tavern in Rafina with Stamatios Fasoulis. "Stamatios," I said, "wouldn't it be nice to do a show for children? I think it could be very nice..." "Good idea," Stamatios told me, and that’s how it all began.
Xenia Kalogeropoulou, in her own unique way, narrates everything she lived and felt making theater for children. Fifty years of a great adventure filled with emotions, trials, sorrows, but also moments of intoxicating happiness.
