The BeaverCraft AX2 axe has a curved blade set at a right angle to the handle, for controlled smoothing and wood removal. The blade is handcrafted and forged from 1066 carbon steel, with differential hardening to 56–58 HRC and a convex edge. The sturdy head construction provides stability for detailed carving work.
The ash wood handle has an ergonomic shape and is treated with linseed oil and natural wax to protect it from moisture and the elements. A genuine cowhide leather sheath with a belt loop is included to protect the edge during storage and transport.
