95% of the monofilament lines available on the market use nylon 6 (Pa6) material, which was discovered in 1938. Nowadays, an improved version of NYLON 6 is NYLON 6.6 (Pa66), a compact crystalline form of material, with a melting point over 280°C, providing reinforcement and strength, both during pulling and at the knot of the fishing line.
