The international enforcement of judgments is the essence of the entire structure of international procedural law. The regulations concerning international jurisdiction, cross-border service of process, international lis pendens or connection, international assistance, and generally every procedural manifestation in cases with elements of foreignness ultimately aim at the issuance of a judicial decision that can circulate outside the state of its issuance, where the winning party can more effectively achieve satisfaction of its rights.

On the occasion of the release of the monumental work of Professor Pelagia Yesiou-Faltsi "Law of Enforcement. International Enforcement," Vol. IIIa/b, in a second edition (Volume IIIb jointly with Associate Professor L.-M. Pipsou), which emphatically crowns a lifetime work of the author, this volume of the parallel editions of the journal Lex&Forum-Opera Juris is dedicated to the honored Professor as a minimal response to her invaluable contribution to the law of international enforcement.

As international enforcement covers an exceptionally broad subject that is not limited solely to procedural issues typically associated with the enforcement process itself, this volume contains a series of particularly significant contributions from reputable and recognized judicial officials, academics, lawyers, and notaries, on a wide range of critical and timely practical and theoretical issues regarding the transnational circulation of judgments, which concern all the individual branches of judicial action: from issues of the enforcement of foreign judgments or the enforceability of foreign wills and other public documents, to collective enforcement procedures or orders to freeze accounts.
