The Alpina Banf ski and snowboard helmet features the MIPS protection system, with a low-friction layer that allows relative movement between the helmet and the head and may reduce harmful forces transmitted to the brain in certain impacts. Its hybrid construction combines an Inmold lower shell with a hard upper shell around the Hi-EPS, while the low rear coverage protects the back of the head. The vents extend across the entire surface and are adjustable with the Airstream Control system.
The helmet has a washable lavalan® wool inner lining, a removable liner, and removable ear pads. The fit is adjusted with the Run System Ergo Snow, using a dial that can also be operated while wearing gloves. It is compatible with ski goggles and includes a dedicated retention clip.
