Vernilac Veradur acrylic primer is white and insulating, designed to cover stains caused by smoke, nicotine, mold, coffee, juices, water-soluble markers and other contaminants, as well as soot, yellowing and exhaust fumes. Its formula seals water-soluble contaminants, preventing them from bleeding through to the topcoat, while evening out the absorbency of surfaces and allowing them to breathe.
It is applied to interior walls and resists the alkalinity of surfaces such as fresh concrete, new plaster and skim-coated walls. It can be used as an intermediate coat when transitioning from dark to light shades, reducing the number of additional topcoats needed. It dries quickly, contains no ammonia and is almost odorless.
