Description

Characteristics Propolis is a sticky substance produced by bees, which is derived from the collection of resinous secretions from plant barks and enriched with wax, pollen, enzymes, and other substances. Bees use propolis to seal and disinfect the interior of the hive from parasitic organisms and insects. Propolis contains more than 200 different substances. It consists of resin (55%), wax (7-35%), volatile compounds - essential oils (10%), pollen (5%), fatty acids (5%), and other ingredients such as sterols, sugars, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, flavonoids (flavones, flavonols, and flavanones, such as quercetin, apigenin, luteolin, etc.), and phenols like caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE). Propolis, as a dietary supplement, provides toning and energy, strengthens the immune system, and protects the body against viruses and bacteria. Properties Propolis has amazing effects on the human body, as it exhibits the following actions: Anti-inflammatory: It stimulates the mobility of immune system macrophage cells and inhibits certain enzymes that allow inflammation to develop. Antibacterial: Propolis covers a wide range of bacteria, acting against staphylococcus, streptococcus, which are responsible for oral cavity infections. According to the literature, propolis flavonoids and polyphenols, in general, have antioxidant and antibacterial effects. Antiviral: Propolis has significant action against viruses, such as herpes and adenoviruses, thanks to the flavonoids it contains. Other ingredients, such as esters and caffeic acid, are involved in the antiviral action of propolis. Finally, propolis acts preventively against influenza, hepatitis B, and herpes zoster. Antifungal: It is effective against attacks by pathogenic fungi on the skin. It activates the immune system and produces a large number of macrophages, necessary for the elimination of fungi and bacteria. Healing: It achieves the healing of damaged tissues, mainly thanks to the essential oils it contains. Anesthetic: Its anesthetic properties are due to its volatile oils (essential oils) and are recommended for local anesthetic action (e.g. insect bites). Antiparasitic: It effectively combats parasites such as trichomonas, trypanosomes, etc. This action is due to the inhibition of their protein synthesis. Dosage Take 1 capsule every morning, after breakfast. Ingredients Each package contains 50 capsules. Each capsule contains 150mg of propolis powder.
