Raina wants to be a normal 12-year-old kid. However, when she falls and seriously injures her two front teeth, she embarks on a long and frustrating journey with braces, surgeries, awful headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth. And on top of all that, there's a big earthquake, confusion with boys, and friends who turn out not to be so friendly.
