    The Intel Core i9 14900 processor is based on the Raptor Lake microarchitecture (14th Gen) (2024). It features 24 cores with 32 Threads. More cores provide increased power for programs that take advantage of the presence of a larger number of cores. Threads allow the processor to run multiple applications simultaneously, completing tasks faster. Its maximum frequency is 5.8 GHz.

    Comparison with the previous generation

    Intel's hybrid architecture is designed to leverage the most advanced technologies at the platform level, such as DDR5 memory type and PCIe Gen.5 standard. Thus, the specialized and integrated controllers within the processor offer support for DDR5 memory speeds up to 5,600MT/s and the PCIe Gen.5 standard (a total of 16x PCIe 5.0 lanes and 4x PCIe 4.0 lanes are supported), while support for Thunderbolt 4 and Intel Wi-Fi 7 (5 Gig) is also included.
