Historical information and plant morphology: Marjoram (Origanum majorana) is a fragrant perennial plant originating from the Mediterranean and Asia. Since antiquity, it has been known for its medicinal and culinary uses. The ancient Greeks considered it a herb associated with joy and peace, while the Romans used it in festivals and banquets to improve digestion. The name "Amarakon" comes from mythology, where it is referred to as a herb symbolizing immortality and longevity.

Properties:

  • Against anxiety and insomnia: Has mild calming effects that help relieve anxiety and improve sleep quality.
  • Supports digestion: Facilitates the digestion process and relieves bloating and indigestion.
  • Relief from headaches and nervous conditions: Acts soothingly on headaches and symptoms of nervous tension.
  • Against cough and cold: Traditionally used to relieve dry cough and treat diarrhea.
